Today's competitive eating competition consists of the following events: Corndogs, Tots, and Brews. Scoring is according to Standard NCD Rules

Competitor I finally arrives!
The reigning beer champ, I has just arrived, wasting no time in diving into the dogs, if not the competition. Having work in the morning, he is sitting out of the beer competition this year, although he may wind up winning anyway.
Final Update - Victory conceded to E!
R has called a halt to his gluttonous self-abuse and conceded victory to E, who's score stands at 10/7/2 as of this posting. R is about to find a warm place to curl up and sleep off the calories, and since R is my ride home, I'll be closing this blog for now and updating with the final score later tonight.
4:45 Update - The Home Stretch!
After retaking the lead, and then falling to second again, E is still just 10 tots behind R and poised to make his final comeback as R reaches his limit! S claims to be pacing himself and one could-be contender refuses to join the score tally, claiming "this is just for personal fulfillment". New contestants, M and L and T, have joined the competition, making a big first push at this late stage

3:45 Update - E slips from lead! R overtakes E!
R has shot ahead in the tally, now leading by only one beer! This isn't likely to last, as E catches his second wind, or breaks wind as the case may be, and returns to a lead position. As of 3:45 the contestant stats are as follows:

After-feast potential for gnawed on sticks?
The re-use of wet, chewed on corndog sticks is being discussed by some partygoers. Suggestions so far include a doghouse, a hamster cage and model trees (in an ironic twist). It's estimated that a doghouse would require "a couple of thousand" sticks to make.
2:45 Score Update - E is in the lead!
At nearly one hour in, E has taken a commanding lead with 3 dog and 3 tots. R is taking a strong second with 3 dogs, 2 tots and 1 beer. Both of these contestants generally score low in the beer competition, leaving that game for S and I to fight out.
We are moments away from round two from the oven, projected at five minutes mark!
New York Update!
We have received a photo from New York of a monstrous, one foot long corndog! We are currently trying to figure out how to make Grand Moff Tartar's cell phone send the picture to my laptop. Stay tuned for the evidence!
