NCD 2009: Start Your Bio-Diesel Engines and Get Your Stimulus Game-Face On

Hello Fellow Corndog Enthusiasts!! That wonderful time of year known as March Madness is fast approaching -- and with it the glorious Saturday which is National Corndog Day. 2009 is set to be another banner year with a new sponsor, new “stuff”, and bigger prizes. As we all prepare our stomachs for another onslaught of delicious dogs, tasty tots, and smooth beverages, here is a quick update from NCD HQ on what to expect.

After the long off-season, it is time to once again to say yes to the ultimate question -- am I hosting a National Corndog Day party again? Absolutely. Get right to it, and sign-up!

This year joining Foster Farms and PBR as official NCD sponsors will be Jones Soda Co. We are extremely excited to add the unique style and energy that Jones will bring to Corndog Day as the official soft drink. INTRODUCING THE NCD PARTY PACK

For years we’ve had dreams of providing an all-in-one kit for you fabulous hosts, and this year we’ve taken a huge step forward – Official National Corndog Day Party Packs. They will cost a whopping $25 (including shipping), and will include almost everything you need for the big day, including $40 worth of free Foster Farms corndog vouchers, the one-of-a-kind commemorative Jones Soda NCD bottles and additional Jones Soda vouchers, the official 2009 NCD poster, a triple-double tracker poster, and more. The kits are available for order now -- quantities are limited so make sure to sign up for yours right away. All orders must be in by March 1 in order to be shipped in time.

2nd ANNUAL PBR PHOTO CONTEST

Win a PBR mini fridge! Bring a camera and some creativity (or frosty beverages) with you to NCD 2009, and submit your favorite Corndog Day photo involving PBR for your chance to win. This is a prize that will make all your friends jealous and you the envy of Corndog Day parties everywhere. There will also be cash prizes of $50 for 2nd and $25 for 3rd and each of the top 5 entries will receive a free party pack for your 2010 party. A NOTE ON NCD EXPANSION

The big change this year is the introduction of party packs. It took a lot of internal discussion and logistics to figure out how to do this right – and to do right by all the hosts who make Corndog Day the amazing event it has always been.

As many of you know, NCD exploded with interest last year from corndog fans across the world. But along with that attention came a real logistics and financial challenge to ensure that we could support as many genuine corndog fans as possible – and to continue to proud culture and tradition that is National Corndog Day. The party packs are our way of both giving back by providing tremendous value to party hosts, and of asking for something in return – to help us defray the costs of providing the packs and managing this amazing day. This will also help us ensure that everyone who signs up to be an official party is fired up and ready to host -- or at least the first 400 parties.

Just like you party hosts, we are all volunteers, and do this out of love for hoops, dogs, tots, brew, friends, family, and all that makes NCD a special day. We appreciate your support in this, as NCD continues to grow. We hope the party packs are a fun addition and make planning for NCD 2009 easier than going it alone. We are committed to making NCD 2009 the best ever!
