Getting ready!

I had 3 cancellations, and I was starting to bummm but now I just got a call from some other friends who are going to be able to come! So they make up for my 3. Yeah, Dave and his wife are flying to Vegas this morning! What nerve!!! Give up NCD for Vegas, what is wrong with them??? LMAO!Gotta go print out some more certificates!

Only got a couple of things left to do before my guests start arriving. Forgot to pop my pie in the oven, but will do that here shortly. Gotta mop my kitchen floor, take my shower, and I am done! Also gonna print out some certificates. My camera is charging up...This is going to be so much fun! Hope everyone has a great day and that your party is a big success! HAPPY CORNDOG DAY everyone!!!!

Got my packet of coupons yesterday and ran out to get more corndogs. I'll be very candid and say I don't know if anyone at my party, except for maybe Steve, will be getting the award!!! But I picked up more tots and the other "fixins" for my party. Got a Southwest mustard that is spicy, sweet and hot. More Plochmans for purists such as me. Also got some chili dog sauce for anyone who might like that for dipping. Ketchup for the tots, salsa, and Rotel and Velveeta. My hubby is going to make his famous queso sauce! Thankfully at the checkout hubby asked if I had enough oil...NO!!! I totally spaced it. Since we live about 8 miles away from the store I was glad to turn around and get it while I was there. I really wanted to do one trip yesterday so I could spend today rearranging and getting ready. I've had a couple of cancellations but it still looks like we'll have plenty of folks and an abundance of food and drink! Got 2 30 packs yesterday and alot of tequila and gin! LOL Ready to PARTY!!!!

Got the email yesterday that I was selected, it just totally made my day! Now I can plan on a few little extras for my party. My hubby has even really gotten into it, which is unusual, as he generally leaves entertaining up to me. But this is definitely his type of holiday! I have been carefully watching the weather forecast trying to get an idea of what it'll be like on Saturday. Since there will be children, I don't want them to be too bored and playing outside would be nice. We're clearing off the deck and setting up a big table out there too. Got most of my supplies, but I think I may try a few different dipping sauces for those folks with more refined tastes LOL Me, I like good old French's mustard! If I run across any recipes that sound good I'll come back and post them!

Well, this has just all been falling into place. Karma!!!! 30 packs of PBR on sale for under $15.00 Now...how many will I need to get is the question! I want to be the gracious host, but also want to be sure each vehicle has their designated driver, or will spend the night. Am ready with my tater tots, and even decided to try a few more "exotic" dips for my corndogs! I love plain mustard, but realize that some of my guests may have more "refined" tastes! LMAO!

I may try to make a trip to Sam's Club, but Safeway has the 32 oz bags of Ore Ida tater tots on sale 2 for 5.50, until March 9th. I don't know if this varies across the country,but seems like a pretty good price for around here. Will check at Sam's as I want to get mustard and ketchup up there anyhow.
