Why Russ Uman is my hero
National Corndog Day is, in a lot of ways, all about hero worship. Yes, it is collective action and community building, but at the end of the 10 hours of joy and stuffing, we revere the warriors who have punished their bodies and soul for what is a fleeting gastro-cycle of glory. They are the heroes.
Today though, we have another hero to worship and thank -- Russ Uman. His contribution is in the finest traditions of National Corndog Day-dom.
