With still two games yet to tip off, we've had three triple-doubles already!!! Two more may get there, but at least we've got three champs!

NCD should be a national holiday, as it combines three of America's greatest pastimes -- eating, drinking, and watching TV. Also, it's not a "true" triple-double unless you do 10 1/4pound corn dogs!!!

We are just seven weeks away from one of the greatest days of the year. Ever since completing the triple-double for the first time last year, I've looked forward to NCD 2008. Hopefully Foster Farms is back as the official sponsor, and we can look forward to the great American food that is the corndog.

Two Triple Doubles!!!

We had two triple doubles here in Renton, WA. The first came from my brother at the 8 hour mark, and the second from myself at 9 hours in. Since I finished two 'dogs short last year, this year was a great accomplishment. The last beer and tots didn't go down without a fight, but managed to stay down around halftime of the Indiana/UCLA game. My brackets are still intact, but I can't say the same about my intestines. A great holiday to say the least.....can't wait for next year!!!

With last year's tip-off time being 10:10am PST, there's about 140 hours left until the big day. I can't wait for those 'dogs, tots, and beer to start flowing (hopefully with no "reversal of fortune" later that day). Go Pac-10!!!

Since today is/was the last day to register to host a corndog party, I just told a few people at my work about it. Hopefully Washington will represent and have the most parties out of any state. It'll be nice to have at least two teams to root for in the tourney (Gonzaga and Washington State)!!!

It's February 24th, and there are only three weeks left until National Corndog Day 2007!!! Nice to see the Washington state parties are coming along nicely, as we challenge any other state to eat more corndogs this year!!!

Here's how we ended up here in Renton, WA:

Stephen - 8 Corndogs, 100 Tots, 10 Beers (started at tip-off of first game, 10:10 PST)
Todd - 7 Corndogs, 70 Tots, 5 Beers (started at tip-off of third game, 2:10 PST)
Scott - 7 Corndogs, 60 Tots, 3 Beers (started at tip-off of last game, 5:10 PST)

Although there were no triple-doubles in Renton, we are all excited about next year's National Corndog Day. With practice (and an alarm clock), we are hoping to secure at least one TD next year.
